Overview
InspectionSight is a local-first inspection photography app. All data you create — photos, voice notes, GPS coordinates, and project details — stays on your device. We do not operate any servers, collect analytics, or sell your data.

Data We Collect and Why
Camera
InspectionSight uses your camera to capture inspection photos. Photos are saved as JPEG files in the app’s private storage on your device and are never transmitted to us or any third party.
Location (GPS)
If you grant location permission, InspectionSight optionally tags each photo with GPS coordinates to document the exact location of each finding. Coordinates are stored with the photo on your device. Location access is “While Using the App” only — we never access your location in the background.
Microphone
InspectionSight uses the microphone to record optional voice notes attached to photos. Voice notes are saved as audio files in the app’s private storage on your device.
Project Data
Information you enter — property addresses, client names, inspection dates, notes, and issue tags — is stored locally on your device using Apple’s SwiftData framework. No account is required and this data is never transmitted to us.

Data Storage and Security
All files are stored in the app’s sandboxed container and protected with Apple’s Complete File Protection (encrypted at rest when your device is locked). No data is synced to iCloud or any cloud service.

In-App Purchases
InspectionSight offers optional Pro subscriptions through Apple’s App Store. Purchase and billing are handled entirely by Apple. We receive only a confirmation of your subscription status — we never see your payment information. Apple’s privacy policy governs all purchase transactions.

Data Sharing
We do not share, sell, or transmit your data to any third parties. The only external communication is with Apple’s App Store servers to verify your subscription status.

Data Deletion
You can delete any photo, voice note, or project from within the app at any time. Deleting a project permanently removes all associated photos and voice notes. Uninstalling the app removes all app data from your device.

Children’s Privacy
InspectionSight is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

Changes to This Policy
If we update this policy, we will update the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
